These Terms and Conditions govern the use of lactation consultation services provided by Melanie McCann Lactation Consultant. By engaging in services with Melanie McCann Lactation Consultant, you agree to the terms outlined below.

 

Scope of Services: Melanie McCann Lactation Consultant provides support and guidance on lactation, breastfeeding, and infant feeding, which may include but is not limited to:

• Prenatal lactation education

• Postpartum breastfeeding support

• Breastfeeding troubleshooting (latch issues, milk supply, etc.)

• Pumping guidance and techniques

• Infant feeding consultations

• Referrals to other medical or healthcare professionals, if necessary

                                                                                     

Client Responsibilities: You, as the Client, agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information regarding your health, medical history, and infant's health.

• Follow the guidance and recommendations provided by Melanie McCann Lactation Consultant to the best of your ability.

• Notify Melanie McCann Lactation Consultant of any changes in your health, your infant's health, or other relevant circumstances during the consultation process.

 

Appointment Scheduling and Cancellations:

• Appointments can be scheduled by phone or email. Melanie McCann Lactation Consultant will confirm appointments via text message.

• Appointments cancelled with more than 48 hours notice will not be charged. Appointments cancelled with 24 hours notice may be rescheduled without additional cost. If the appointment is not rescheduled 50% of the consultation fee will be charged. If less than 24 hours notice is given the consultation is non refundable.

• Melanie McCann Lactation Consultant reserves the right to reschedule or cancel appointments due to unforeseen circumstances.

 

Fees and Payment: The cost for Melanie McCann Lactation Consultation services is listed under the services page of our website.

• Payment is due at time of booking and prior to consultation occurring.

• Accepted payment methods include direct bank transfer or deposit.

• In the event of non-payment, Melanie McCann Lactation Consultant may suspend services until payment is made. ​

 

No Medical Diagnosis:

• Melanie McCann Lactation Consultant provides educational, and support services related to lactation and breastfeeding but does not diagnose medical conditions. Any medical concerns or symptoms outside the scope of lactation should be addressed with your primary healthcare provider.

• If Melanie McCann Lactation Consultant determines that a medical issue may be outside their expertise, a referral to a relevant healthcare professional will be made.​

Limitations of Liability:

• Melanie McCann Lactation Consultant makes no guarantees regarding the success of breastfeeding or lactation outcomes. Results can vary based on a variety of factors.

• You understand that breastfeeding may involve challenges, and while Melanie McCann Lactation Consultant will provide expert guidance, there is no guarantee that all challenges will be resolved.

• Melanie McCann Lactation Consultant is not responsible for any adverse outcomes resulting from failure to follow advice, instructions, or recommendations provided during consultations.

 

Health Insurance:

• Lactation consultations may be covered by health insurance plans in some cases. It is your responsibility to check with your insurance provider to verify coverage and reimbursement details.

• Melanie McCann Lactation Consultant will provide an invoice or statement of services that may be used for insurance claims if applicable.

 

Consent to Treatment:

• By engaging in services, you consent to the provision of lactation consultation services. You acknowledge that Melanie McCann Lactation Consultant is working within the scope of their training and experience and that you are free to discontinue services at any time.

 

Modification of Terms:

• Melanie McCann Lactation Consultant reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. You will be notified of any changes, and the updated Terms and Conditions will apply to any services provided after the modification date.

 

Acknowledgment: 

• By engaging the services of Melanie McCann Lactation Consultant, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
